AAP starts off in style
Arvind Kejriwal finally announced a much awaited free water scheme for the capital city. However the scheme seemed to have a bit of twist as according to the scheme one doesn’t need to pay for 20kl of water but if you consumed even a liter of water more than that, you will have to pay for the entire water that you have consumed. The scheme seems to work well for the middleman or so said AAM AADMI but it brings no cheer for the large scale consumer of water. This scheme will be effective from Wednesday in most of the parts of city. However in some areas of Delhi it may take time before this scheme is implemented.
In the capital city there are around 16 lakh metered connections however there are still 4 lakh connections that are unmetered. The next big challenge that the government faces is to convert this unmetered connections into metered one.
Arvind Kejriwal has finally started off with what he had promised a long time ago but merely waiving off the water supply bill will not do any good for the common man. There is a lot to be done in Delhi. Earlier Arvind Kejriwal had requested people of Delhi to give him a little time to put things into order in Delhi. He said that we are not in the politics for power but we are here for the people.
