After three phases of elections oppositions know they will be defeated: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi rubbished the allegation of opposition parties about EVM machines were being manipulated in the Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing to a rally Modi said the oppositions have realized after three phases of elections to be getting defeated and so are looking for excuses to defend their poor performance.

Earlier this week, several major opposition parties raised doubt on EVMs credibility and demanded to match about half of the voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) slips with the EVM results before May 23, the result date.

The PM added, “Just like a child who makes excuses to justify his underperformance in exams, opposition parties have started directing their anger on the EVMs and the voting process for their shortcomings.”

The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader further said that the opposition parties have been left with no choice rather than to accept defeat after three phases of elections.

Attacking Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy the leader said the comments on armed forces are demoralizing for the army as courage is needed to fight on the border and it is not that poverty makes people join the military.
