Amit Shah files nomination from Gandhinagar

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah filed nomination Saturday from Gandhinagar constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This is the first time Shah will be contesting Lok Sabha elections. He was earlier a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament.

The Gandhinagar seat is currently held by party veteran Lal Krishna Advani.

Ahead of filing his nomination the BJP president addressed a rally and it was followed by a roadshow. He said if party is taken away from his life, he will be left with only zero.

Shah added, “Whatever I have learnt and given to the country all belongs to the BJP… Lal Krishna Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji were MPs from Gandhinagar, I am glad that I have got an opportunity to become MP from the same constituency.”

He talked about the good works done by PM Modi in past five years and answer to questiohn of people is given to who will provide security to the country, and it is only Modi along with the BJP and NDA government.

Shah also paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel before filing his nomination.

Gujarat will have Lok Sabha elections in single phase on April 23.

Lok Sabha elections across India will be held in seven phases starting from April 11. The last phase will be on May 19 and counting will be done on May 23.
