Apple Launches iPhone X; Priced $999

The much awaited iPhone X has been launched and Apple CEO called it as the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone.

The original iPhone was launched 10 years ago and iPhone X is the 10-year celebration edition. It is a glass and stainless steel device equipped with edge-to-edge display.

Priced tagged at $999 the iPhone X will be shipped on November 3 and investors consider the device as an opportunity for the iDevice giant to refresh a smartphone lineup. It is not to forget the revenue of Apple declined in 2016 as iPhone 7 was not warmly accepted by users as it being too similar to the predecessor iPhone 6.

A major upgrade of the device is that users can make calls and also access the internet without carrying it. Analysts say the feature will surely attract customers and more than what people thought of Apple Watch.

The phone comes with wireless charging feature as well as an infrared camera. It has Face ID-hardware for facial recognition to replace fingerprint sensor to unlock the device and just a tap can wake up it. It has no home button.

Apple usually releases new iPhone devices within two weeks of announcement.

During the launch event the Apple shares traded 1% higher.
