Apple To Launch iPhone 7 With Touch ID Home Button
The next iPhone of Apple may not be equipped with Touch ID home button. A new home button may instead be housed and it would be fully pressure-sensitive. It is also learned to be responding the inputs with a vibration.
Bloomberg cracks the news citing people claiming to have knowledge of Apple’s plans. It writes the physical button would be replaced in iPhone 7. Users need to press down or placed fingers on to activate.
The news media further reveals the technology that would be used is called haptic feedback and with the help of it the home button would sit flush with the screen.
The technology would also alert user that the button is being pressed and is performing a function.
The new home button could be used to unlock the phone or go back to the home screen.
Earlier Japanese Apple-tracking site Macotakara too revealed Apple is planning to use Touch ID button in the upcoming flagship iDevice. However, it was not very clear then whether the home button would sit flush with the display or be backed directly into the glass.
