Addressing to a public meeting she added, “They have got citizenship… You have been casting your votes in elections, electing PM and CM… Now they are saying that you are not citizens… Don’t believe them.”

Didi also slammed the Modi government and said Bengal will not turn up into another Delhi.

She referred to the recent riot in Delhi in which 46 people were killed.

Banerjee further said that she will not allow anyone to be driven out of West Bengal and refugees will not be deprived of citizenship.

She hit out at the Modi government and urged him not to forget the state is West Bengal and not Delhi.

Often the Bharatiya Janata Party has accused Bengal CM of Muslim appeasement and vote bank politics.

Meanwhile, panic gripped Delhi on Sunday again following rumors that fresh violence has been erupted. Delhi police received around 2,000 distress calls from panicked people.

The police is closely monitoring social media accounts of many people who are spreading fake news.
