Biopic PM Narendra Modi finally releasing on May 24

Failed to get released on April 11 due to temporary ban by Election Commission of India (ECI) the biopic PM Narendra Modi is now set to hit the theaters on May 24 (Friday), a day after the Lok Sabha elections results announcement date.

The movie is based on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will be seen in the lead role. It is produced by Sandip Singh and he hopes the film will have a smooth run after the release.

The ECI had to ban the biopic citing it may influence the voters during the elections period.

In a press statement he said, “We are now releasing our film on 24th May 2019. This is the first time a film will be promoted for only four days. I hope now nobody has any problem with the film and we are hoping for the smooth release this time.”

The biopic also features Boman Irani, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Manoj Joshi, Darshan Kumaar and Barkha Sengupta. The film is directed by Omung Kumar and co-produced by Anand Pandit and Suresh Oberoi.
