BJD Walksout During Trust Vote Citing Nothing Done For Odisha In 14 Yrs

Ten years of UPA government and four years of NDA government have done nothing to Odisha if we believe the words of Biju Janata Dal and the party’s move earlier today in the Parliament by walking out of the no confidence voite reflects the political style of Naveen Patnaik.

Addressing to the house BJD leader in the Lok Sabha (Bhartuhari Mahtab) said both the governments didn’t benefit Odisha and as the debate is not relevant either to the state or to the people there would be little point in participating.

Naveen Patnaik is ferocious and usually saw no or little point to get entangled into political battles in Delhi.

Today’s move of BJD is a good blow to the opposition as it reduced the house strength and increased prospects of NDA to win the trust vote with higher majority.

BJD has 19 MPs and ism considered as a part of strength of the house.

The walkout means a signal from Naveen Patnaik to not get interested in any grand alliance.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi accused prime minister Narendra Modi and his government on the Rafale deal saying defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman lied to the nation.

He said, “He has no space in his heart for the poor at all.”
