A Kazakh carrier Bek Air crashed in Kazakhstan, near the city of Almaty, Friday. At least fourteen people have been reported killed and 22 hospitalized in grave condition. The Fokker 100 aircraft was carrying 95 passengers and 5 crew members.

The plane was heading for the capital city Nur-Sultan and was taking off before dawn. It lost altitude and broke through a concrete fence. It hit a two-storey building just beyond the end of the runway in Aimerek village.

A reporter travelling to the airport during the same time said there was thick fog around the airport.
