BREAKING: History created. PV Sindhu wins BWF World Championship

PV Sindhu grabs world title

PV Sindhu won badminton World Championships gold on Sunday defeating Nazomi Okuhara of Japan by 21-7 21-7 in a lop-sided final that lasted for just 38 minutes.

The World No. 5 is now the World No. 1. Her timeline is Bronze in 2013, Bronze in 2014, Bronze in 2017, Silver in 2018 and now GOLD in 2019.

PV Sindhu also emerged as the joint-most successful women’s singles shuttler.

Earlier, her inability to grab a gold became a major talking point in India. She had face such questions mostly at interviews, press conferences and public appearances.

The 24-year-old Olympic silver medalist was at her best against former champion Nazomi Okuhara, who faced her rage.

Sunday’s match was arguably the most one-sided in the history of badminton final. The Indian shuttler never let Nazomi Okuhara have a sniff. She always controlled the rallies. Her aggression was never dipped in the 38-minute match at the center court in Basel.
