BREAKING: Jain Monk Tarun Sagar Dies At Radhapuri Temple At 51
Jain monk Tarun Sagar passed away following a prolonged illness on Saturday at round 3.18 a.m. at Radhapuri temple in Delhi’s Krishna Nagar. He was 51 and suffered from jaundice for last 14 days along with some other ailments.
On Wednesday he was hospitalized to a private hospital in Vaishali when his condition became critical. Few days back he denied any further treatment and decided to return back to the temple.
The last rites will be held Saturday evening at the Tarun Sagar Dham in Modinagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Several Jain monks from across the country visited him when he was hospitalized to have his ‘antim darshan.’ PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh condoled his death saying the Jain monk will be remembered for his ideals, compassion and contribution to society.
Minister of commerce & industry and civil aviation, Suresh Prabhu, said his death was a personal loss to him as he was blessed by him.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the teachings of Jain muni will continue to inspire humanity.
Rahul Gandhi-led Congress party too expressed condolence saying his teachings and principles will guide them to be on the right path.
The Jain muni was internationally acclaimed and well known for his series of lectures titled ‘Kadve Pravachan.’
