Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has resigned. Opts to work as opposition

In a dramatic way following Supreme Court’s order today morning that BJP need to prove its majority in a floor test Wednesday evening in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stepped down saying Ajit Pawar has resigned from the office of Deputy Chief Minister and now the alliance lacks number.

Maharashtra Congress said, “Shiv Sena lied to us and started talking to other parties. Shiv Sena claims to be a party that believes in Hindutva, but today, their Hindutva is bowing to Sonia Gandhi. They are swearing by Sonia Gandhi.”

- Fadnavis said the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress-led government would collapse soon.
