The proposal has come following meet of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Chinese premier Xi Jinping at the SCO Summit in Qingdao.

The premier has accepted Modi’s invitation to visit India next year for an informal meeting.

Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui said, “Some Indian friends suggested that India, China, and Pakistan may have some kind of trilateral summit on the sidelines of the SCO. So, if China, Russia, and Mongolia can have a trilateral summit, then why not India, China, and Pakistan.”

The ambassador even appealed for a joint effort to maintain border peace while addressing a seminar in capital New Delhi titled “Beyond Wuhand: How Far and Fast Can China-India Relations Go.”

Praising Modi’s remarks at the Shangri-La Dialogue he said, “We cannot stand another Doka La incident.”

He further added that both the countries have a better future if work jointly and with trust.

Zhaohui said both the countries are neighbors and this cannot be moved away.
