China To Get iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus Sept 25 Onward
There’s a good news for Apple fans in China. The iDevice giant has announced to make available the newly launched iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in the first wave of markets scheduled on September 25.
In 2014 the scenario was different. Hong Kong was included in the first wave but not the mainland China on September 17. The smartphones were made available only from October 17 onward.
Apple announced further the transit information in its Map app to be made available for more than 300 Chinese cities including Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing.
The three leading wireless carriers in China – the China Telecom, China Unicorn and China Mobile – are said to be continuing the support of iPhone 6S on 4G/LTE networks.
Earlier this year in July the 4G users in China crossed a good milestone of 250 million, which is more than two-times of the US subscribers.
There are a total of 1.3 billion mobile users in China.
Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore too are included in the first wave launch markets of the newest iPhones. These three are expected to be the second largest smartphone market by 2017 after China.
Apple demonstrated the popular WeChat mobile messaging app of China in a demonstration to make fans and media houses understand how the new 3D Touch display technology works. This seems a good nod by Apple to capture the Chinese market.
