Croatia's Luka Modric Recollects Past Crisis Ahead Of Facing France In Moscow

Luka Modric, the man who has lived football during all the odds in his life, during wartime and even when he lived through his grandfather being executed and family’s home torched, is relaxed and smiling. He made every wrong things right and probably this would be his last World Cup.

Just hours ahead of the final match he said, “When we drew 1-1 with Finland in Rijeka back in October and lost top place in our group, there was only one game left to sort things out.”

The Real Madrid playmaker said they are still good players even though they are facing crisis and this meant a lot to them.

Coach Ante Cecic was sacked recently and the federation made the replacement with Zlatko in the game against Ukraine.

Modric further mentioned that winning with 2-0 against Greece helped them to breeze past all the crisis moments and worked under the new coach, who is sincere and his approach to football is loved by all.

Adding further he said fans love his story and he no longer wants to dwell about what had happened in the war.
