Day 1 Of Lucknow Metro Commercial Run Develops Technical Glitch

The first day of Lucknow metro was panicking to more than 500 passengers who got stuck inside a train for about an hour at the Mawaiya’s special span. The air conditioner and lights too were off due to technical glitch and this added to the problem of commuters.

Wednesday was the first day of the metro’s commercial operations and the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) was unable to understand the technical fault for more than hour. Officials later said some fault in the traction led to the problem and trains on the other parallel track were running smoothly.

Problems emerged to higher level of panic as many wanted to catch a flight after reaching destination with the metro. They said metro trains are build to save time, but they are now taking longer time than a rickshaw to reach the stations.
