Despite verbal clash with Shiv Sena Fadnavis to take oath on Friday

Devendra Fadnavis may take oath of office by Friday for his second term as Maharashtra Chief Minister amid hope among the BJP senior leaders that Shiv Sena may not further press demand for a fifty-fifty ministerial berths split as well as arrangement for a rotational chief ministership.

If believed to party sources, Shiv Sena would join the government despite verbal clash.

A source added, “Fadnavis will take oath as CM on October 31 or November 1 and we are hopeful the Sena will join the government.”

Meanwhile, strucking a confident note the chief minister expressed displeasure over articles targeting the BJP in Saamana, the mouthpiece of Shiv Sena.

Fadnavis said it is doubtless that BJP won’t lead the government in the state for next five years.

Earlier, BJP president Amit Shah appointed national party vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna and agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar as obersers for the state legislature party meeting for Wednesday in which Fadnavis would be elected as leader of the legislature party before making an approach to governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari for a request to government formation.

When asked about Aaditya Thackeray would become the deputy chief minister, Fadnavis said no such request has been received from the Shiv Sena party.

The CM added that BJP will form the Maharashtra government for next five years and the party don’t need any Plan B as Plan A will definitely be implemented.
