Edureka is an e-learning platform that is on a mission to revolutionise online education.
In November 2014, the Bangalore-based start up, Edureka was ranked number 1 in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 India 2014 and in June 2015, Business Today named Edureka as one of the Coolest Startups of 2015.
Edureka appointed the former Facebook Asia Pacific Online Marketing Head, Durgesh Kaushik as their new Chief Marketing Officer and also announced to offer $1M in “Edureka Digital India Scholarships” for learners from small towns and rural India after the launch of PM’s Digital India Week this year. With this it became the first education start-up in India to rollout such a thoughtful offering post the DIW launch.
About Lovleen Bhatia:
Lovleen has a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT-BHU. Not only does Lovleen brings big ideas to life through drive and technological skills for re-defining the education methodology in India, but also believes that the online education is going to decide the fate of the nation by shaping the future of the young professionals.
Lovleen saw the rising need for the IT talent to continuously upgrade their skill sets in the area of emerging and disruptive technologies, to be able to match their work requirements and grow up the career path. This drove Lovleen, to start Edureka, along with his long-time colleague and friend, Kapil Tyagi, in the year 2011. Edureka is a pioneer in developing and delivering courses online – Android, Big Data & Hadoop, Hadoop Administration, Apache Cassandra, Cloud Computing, Data Science and Business Analytics with R among others. Within a short span of 30 months, the organization has trained nearly 40,000 technology professionals and students from across India, US, UK, Australia and EU.
