Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon To Attract More Consumers With Coupons This Festive Season?
The shopping season has begun and it is the start of a big round of fireworks for ecommerce companies. The cash-rich big players including Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart and also the smaller startups are estimated to burn together Rs 2,000 crore.
It is true more and more consumers of the festive months are getting inclined towards online shopping compared to the traditional stores. To attract more customers, if believed to media planners, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will be joining in the promotion of ecommerce companies.
In 2014 the ecommerce companies is reported to have spent about Rs 1,300 crore on promotions including marketing between the period of September to December. The big spenders were Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and Quikr.
Meanwhile, coupons play important roles during festive months as consumers become more spontaneous with such discounts and offers. Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and all the big-wigs also promote their stores in micro level using offer coupons.
