Grand alliance of opposition parties is against people of India: Modi

The grand alliance of opposition parties is against the people of India too apart from being anti-Modi, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Satruday in a Bharatiya Janata Party rally in Silvasa, union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

Grand alliance, Modi

The opposition parties staged a show of strength in Kolkata and Modi slammed the proposed mahagathbandhan saying whole of them gathered and pleaded for help.

Modi added the upcoming Lok Sabha election will be a fight between development and corruption, positivity and negativity as well as mahagathbandhan and the people of India.

He clarified that the parties which stood against Congress earlier are now standing with the party and so the grand alliance is against the people of the country.

The prime minister further said that BJP has just one MLA in West Bengal and is capable of giving the oppositions sleepless nights because his party is follower of truth.

He was hitting at the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal where the state strongly opposed the BJP plans of organizing a Rath Yatra.

Modi continued saying that it is truly ironical that such party is preaching democracy which is not allowing BJP to take out a yatra and killing local body election candidates.

He added that the grand alliance may grab headlines but people will not accept them as they have destroyed India.

Modi was on a two-day visit to Gujarat to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said Modi is scared of the alliance and knows his party cannot win the elections.
