If Namaz On Roads Cannot Be Stopped, Why Should Janmashtami Celebration: Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said he may not stop Janmashtami celebration at police stations if he is unable to stop offering of namaz on roads during Eid.

Speaking at an event in Lucknow he added to have asked officers to ban microphones, DJs and music systems in every place of worship and not only red-flagging the same during the recent Kanwar yatra or else let the yatra continue as usual.

Quoting RSS ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya the chief minister said if there should be no objection on the celebration of Ganesh Utsav in every town and village, how will it be applicable on kanwar yatra.

Yogi Adityanath further continued that freedom to celebrate festivals in India should be enjoyed by everyone.

He said if a person calls himself a Hindu in India, he is called communal, but the same is seen as being proud in Mauritius and Nepal. There are lots of people of Hindu origin and they proudly say they are Hindus.

The CM tarted previous SP government saying those who called themselves as Yaduvvanshis had banned Janmashtami celebration at police lines and police stations.

Yogo mentioned prayers and kirtan may bring improvement in the police system.
