Indian Army Crosses LoC, Kills 3 Pak Soldiers

Three Pakistani soldiers have been shot and killed in the Pakistan occupied Kashmiir (PoK) area by Indian army after ten soldiers crossed Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir Monday night. Senior officials have confirmed the localized tactical level operation and it is learned the strike follows killing of four Indian soldiers by the Pakistan Army in Rajouri on Saturday.

The operation was selective targeting and hence is not described as surgical strike by the Indian army. It didn’t target a specific Pakistani post.

Details of the operation is still awaited but it no injury of Indian soldiers have been reported.

Sources said the primary focus of the operation was send a message if Indian soldiers are attacked there will be a definite response.

Pakistani army infiltrated Saturday about 400 metres across the LoC and targeted Indian soldiers patrolling along the border. The armed troop was part of a Pakistan Border Action Team that includes special forces of the Pakistan Army as well as terrorists.

Details of the Indian soldiers killed Saturday are Major Moharkar Prafulla Ambadas, Lance Naik Gurmail Singh, Lance Naik Kuldeep Singh and Sepoy Pargat Singh. A soldier was injured too and is under medical treatment.
