Is It True Smartphone Users Are Shifting From iOS To Android
Is it true iOS users are losing interest in the operating system and thinking over switching on to Android? Don’t know perfectly, but data from research firm Gartner reveals the Google’s mobile operating system accounts for 86.2 percent of new smartphone sales.
One of the major reasons for the huge market share of Android is tempting handsets from Samsung, Motorola and Google.
If you are one of those who are thinking over to switch from iOS to Android here are few tips.
There are few different conventions to learn even though the basic vocabulary of tapping and swiping is the same. You may find structure of apps and folders different of the screen. You may notice few extra onscreen buttons and remember the universal “back” button will take you to the previous page or previous app. Also, the “overview” button will pope up previews of running apps to help you switching between them.
It is not true that you will lose your contacts and bookmarks. You can copy those from iCloud to Google account.
Your messaging friends won’t be able to know you have switched over from iOS to Android. The apps like WhatsApp will work as usual. There may be problems receiving messages on iMessage as it is an Apple-only feature and the incoming messages will be diverted to the iMessage network.
Some of the apps are not available on Android and so you won’t be able to browse those. There are several apps too that suffer on Android.
