It is again going to be a trouble for narendra modi as the CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry against Gujarat Chief minster  top ministers based on new evidence in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case.

CBI had recovered a CD which shows discussions between top Gujarat leaders and policemen on derailing the probe into the case. The CD has 70 minutes of audio and the CBI could summon all concerned for questioning. In fact, Murmu and Sharma were also questioned in September 2013 over the matter. The conversations on the CD date to November 2011 and take place a day before a SIT appointed by the Gujarat High Court was to submit its report in the case.


The CD carries details of meetings between Modi’s personal secretary GC Murmu, AK Sharma and a few other ministers and police officials. It was submitted to the CBI by chargesheeted police officer GL Singhal.
