Jessica Lall’s sister Sabrina Lall has overcome all the angers in the period of past two decades and don’t want to object the release of Manu Sharma.

Jessica’s killer Manu, also called as Siddhartha Vashista, will be getting released from Tihar Jail and Sabrina said in this regard she don’t want to hold on to any more anger as he has served his sentence and she is done with it.

Sabrina, who currently lives in Gurgaon, added that Manu has been doing good work for charity while serving his lifeterm and helping inmates, and this is a reflection of reform.

Writing a letter to welfare officer, Central Jail No. 2, the sister said, “I would like to state I have no objection to his release, owing to the fact that he has spent 15 years in jail.”

She was replying to a letter of jail officer regarding “compensation and relaase of Sidhartha Vahishta s/o Venod Sharma convicted in FIR no 287/1999 under section 302 IPC.”

Sabrina declined taking any financial assistance from the welfare fund of Manu and wrote, “I do not require it and request you to give the same to others, who are more in need.”

Jessica Lall was a bartender at Tamarind Court restaurant in Delhi. She was shot to death by Manu Sharma while bartending a private party hosted by owner, designer Bina Ramani on April 29, 1999 when she refused him a drink.

Manu has been in jail for about fifteen years and lately has been moved to an open prison. Premature release may be requested citing remission worth five years for good conduct, appropriate discipline and excellent work.
