J&K governor lashes out Rahul Gandhi over Kashmir visit

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is alleged by Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik for making an attempt of creating unrest in the Valley by putting pre-conditions to his visit to the state.

Malik lashed out at his condition to bring a delegation of opposition leaders to Kashmir.

Rahul Gandhi had earlier stated there were reports of violence in the Valley after stripping of Article 370 from the Constitution. Following the statement Malik said will be sending an aircraft for the leaver to visit Kashmir and have a look at the ground situation.

Gandhi reacted with several pre-conditions that includes permission to meet mainstream leaders of the state who are under detention.

The governor released a statement saying he not invited Gandhi with multiple pre-conditions and referred to aministration and local police to the matter.

The statement read, “Rahul Gandhi is politicising the matter by seeking to bring a delegation of opposition leaders to create further unrest and problems for the common people.”

It is learned Gandhi accepted the invitation saying an aircraft is not required but seeks other opposition leaders would visit too with him. In one of his tweets he asked Malik to allow the delegation to meet people and soldiers in Kashmir.

About the claim of violence in Kashmir following striking out Article 370 Malik said, “Rahul Gandhi is responding to fake news possibly spread from across the border about the situation in Kashmir, which is peaceful with negligible incidents.”

The governor added further about Gandhi, “He can also check the detailed submissions made by the government in the Supreme Court today which heard a case on this matter and left it to government.”
