M3M Care, RAWS and DLF Foundation conduct biggest clothes donation drive in Gurgaon

M3M Care, DLF Foundation and Rise Always Welfare Society (RAWS) joined hands for the biggest warm clothes donation drive in Gurgaon. With winter chill having set in and especially so in northern India, the three organisations enabled Gurgaon to donate clothes for the needy. The drive aptly titled “Gurgaon Cares” started on 27th December 2015. Different collection centres were identified and boxes were placed there for people to drop warm clothes and blankets. The distribution was done to more than 500 people.

The drive was launched on 27th December 2015 and ended recently. It received an overwhelming response from the people of Gurgaon. Huge amount of clothes and blankets were collected from the 6 different collection centres.

The collected clothes were distributed amongst the homeless and needy by Pankaj Bansal, Director M3M Care and Shri Rao Narbir Singh, Haryana Minister for Forests, Wildlife & PWD at Labour Chowk, Gurgaon along with the officials form M3M Group.

“M3M believes in contributing towards the society and through this warm clothes and blankets donation drive we have tried our best to reach out to all the underprivileged people of Gurgaon. Winters are the most difficult season for the underprivileged as unlike other seasons, it requires one to wear warm clothes to sustain the cold.” said Pankaj Bansal, Director, M3M Care.

M3M Care, CSR wing of M3M Group primarily contributes in three key areas: Healthy and Active Living, Environment Conservation and Eradication of Hunger and Poverty. Under Healthy and Active living, Yoga sessions and regular health check up camps are conducted for customers, employees, public and construction workers. Environment conservation by maintaining green areas around Gurgaon and also donating for making and sustaining Cow sheds (Goushalas). Under eradication of hunger and poverty, M3M provides food and essential items to NGOs supporting welfare of children and elderly on regular basis. In one of their various initiatives, M3M has tied up with Ekal Vidyalaya NGO and through them have funded 100 schools and aiming to bring basic education to every child in rural India. M3M also promotes and contributes to community marriage of girls from modest and weak economic situations.
