MGS V: Phantom Pain Finally Reveals Its Multiplayer Mode
For those hard core gamer in existence out there, especially fans of the first person shooter (FPS), they will definitely know what the Metal Gear Solid brand is all about. This is a game by Hideo Kojima which has become very phenomenal over the years. The game franchise has even accumulated a very big fan base all over the world. The latest installments to the game has always been highly anticipated and the same also applies to the Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. As a matter of fact, the MGS V: Phantom Pain has actually become one of the most highly anticipated games to come in the year 2015. This is also partially attributed to the plan by Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the franchise, to offer something different to gamer when they play the next sequel to the MGS franchise.
This ‘different’ experience of playing an MGS game has been well shown in a number of trailer videos that has already been released so far. From the trailers, gamer will be able to see that there will be serious improvements to the next MGS title, such as in terms of visual quality, achieved with the help of the Fox Engine being chosen as the main game engine for the new title. In addition to the significantly improved visual quality, however, gamer can also expect to experience an open-world concept within the MGS V: Phantom Pain. For the record, such an open-world experience has become a main selling point for a lot of games that are released within the past few months. According to reports, there will also be some innovations gamer can find while playing the upcoming MGS title. And, what makes the next MGS title will be even better than its predecessors is that, according to Kojima, the game will be more innovative and appealing not only in the single player mode but also in the multi player mode.
During the demo of the game at the Gamescom 2014, Kojima revealed a little bit of the part where these whole open-world experience and innovations work. For an example to begin with, in the single player mode, gamer will be surprised by a massive supply of weapons and items that Snake requires when gamer get to the Mother Base, a supposedly home for the Diamond Dogs. In addition to that, there is also a surprise for gamer who play the MGS V: Phantom Pain because as it turns out, Snake can also deliver various resources which he finds along the way. These resources will help open more rooms at the Mother Base. This has the potential of leading gamer to even more item variations to be equipped to Snake, the main character of the MGS series.
In addition to that, the demo of the game shown at the Gamescom 2014 also unveils that it is not the sole function of the Mother Base in the MGS V: Phantom Pain. The very spot will also serve as the battlefield for the multi player mode of the game.
It turns out that Kojima is actually allowing and endorsing gamer to invade the Mother Base that belongs to other gamer who also play the game. The purpose of doing such a thing in the game is to stealthily take possession of the resources that other players have worked so hard to acquire and then to improve the gamer’ own Mother Base. However, when two gamer meet each other, meaning Snake meeting Snake in the online multi player mode, the invasion of the Mother Base will cease. However, that is about all known for now. Hideo Kojima himself has not bothered to provide gamer with more details of how things may actually work or of the limitations that may apply to the online multi player mode.
The MGS V: Phantom Pain is slated for release in 2015 and it will supposedly be available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC platforms.
