Modi, Maldivian President Solih inaugurates development projects in Maldives

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi jointly inaugurated several development projects for Maldives with Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih via video conferencing. RuPay card was launched, Male streets were lighted up using LED lights, fish processing plants were started, High Impact Community Development Projects were launched and Made in India Coast Guard Ship Kaamiyaab was gifted to the country.

PM Modi congratulated President Solih on the completion of his first year in the Presidency office.

Modi said tourists from India to Maldives have increased more than two fold and 3 direct flights from Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai have been started.

Modi added his government is working on building a cancer hospital as well as a cricket stadium in capital Male.
