A tweet by Modi today morning read, “Tributes to former PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary.”

Rajiv Gandhi was the youngest prime minister of India. He was just 40. He was assassinated on this day in 1991 in Sriperumbudur village of Tamil Nadu by LTTE while campaigning for Lok Sabha elections.

The tribute comes a day after Modi attacked Rahul Gandhi saying, “Your father was termed Mr Clean by his courtiers, but his life ended as bhrashtachari no 1.”
