Rioter is shocked, troublemaker is astonished with Yogi’s strict decision: CMO

Yogi Adityanath’s actions against protesters have shocked the state and in a series of tweets his office said everyone in Uttar Pradesh are thinking have made mistakes by challenging the chief minister.

In one of the tweets CM’s office mentioned every rioter is shocked, everyone is silent and troublemaker is astonished following the strict decision of Yogi.

The state government has so far issued identification of 498 rioters who have caused damage to public properties and soon their personal properties would be seized.

Process of state property loss is to wrap up by December 30 based on a 2010 Allahabad High Court judgment headed by Justice Sudhir Agarwal that laid down guidelines for the state government to recover loss incurred due property damages amid protests turning violent.

The court said in a ruling of December 2, 2010, that state government had so far failed in implementing provisions of Prevention of Damage to Public Property, enacted in 1984.

Justice Agarwal added the law had simply remained on paper even though nearly 560, not much though, cases have been registered in Uttar Pradesh between 1984 and 2009.

CM’s office also tweeted, “The process of recovery has been initiated against those who were misled and inflicted violence regarding the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. This decision of chief minister @myogiadityanath ji is exemplary and this action on miscreants will be an outstanding example in the country. Recovery will be done at any cost.”

The CMO also claimed in one of the tweets that the state has been returned to a peace phase.
