Security Raised At Shah Rukh’s Mannat Amid Controversy Over His Religious Comment
More policemen can now be seen in front and around Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s mansion in Mumbai after controversy over the actor’s remarks on religious intolerance.
SRK, as commonly addressed, said in an interview on his 50th birthday that religious intolerance is the worst thing and takes us to the dark ages.
Immediately, BJP parliamentarian Yogi Adityanath said his comments were similar to that of Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed.
Later, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya tweeted even though the actor lives here, but his heart is in Pakistan. However, he was criticized strongly by his own partymen and this forced him to retract his tweet.
Shah Rukh Khan was granted security in 2010 after the Shiv Sena targeted him. At any time his famous home Mannat is under the watch of a team of the State Reserve Police Force. Now, 25 more policemen has been added to make the total as 75.
However, this time the Shiv Sena is supporting SRK saying the actor should not be targeted for his religion.
Meanwhile, a notice has also been issued to Shah Rukh Khan by the food and drug department of Maharashtra Government for his appearance in a pan masala ad.
