Sena to form Maharashtra government with NCP, Congress

Finally the confusion in Maharashtra government formation seems to wrap up with the formula of 3-way – Congress, NCP and Sena.

Talking to the media the Uddhav Thackeray-led party’s spokesman Sanjay Raut said his party will lead the government in the state for the next 25 years instead of just five years.

The Rajya Sabha MP confirmed talks are in process with NCP and Congress on a common minimum programme that will be in the interest of people of Maharashtra.

The 58-year-old said, “Whether it is a single party government or an alliance, an agenda for governance is necessary. There are infrastructure projects to be taken forward.”

Sanjay Raut further added that those parties who will be coming with them are experienced administrators and the Bal Thackeray-founded party will benefit from their experience.

It is yet to see how the mutual understanding works out with the Congress as both were political rival till recently.

Talking about the Congress he said it is the oldest party in India and has contributed to freedom struggle and development of Maharashtra as well.
