Sony Unveils Xperia 25
Sony unveiled its next flagship smartphone on Wednesday, the Xperia Z5, that comes with improved camera functions and the world’s first 3K ultra high-definition display.
The new device comes with three handset sizes, but all are equipped with a 23-megapiexel Sony image sensor. It is beefed-up capability to take good picture in dark took.
To discriminate the device from that of Apple and Samsung, the mobile maker as focused more on the multimedia functions. Why not, it has over time borrowed expertise from the industry.
The Xperia Z5 sports a 5.5-inch 4K display and comes with fingerprint sensor too as announced at the IFA trade show in Berlin earlier this year.
Even though the handset comes with these high-standard features, it is not sure to become a blockbuster product like iPhones.
As of now it has been seen the Xperia only has a notable presence in Japan, and hence it is not known how people in other mobile markets will react.
Until now Sony has not been able to increase its market share by adding affordable handsets.
According to head of Sony’s smartphone, Hiroki Totoki, they are confident can turnaround the unprofitable business.
