Tejashwi Yadav To Approach High Court To Challenge CBI Verdict

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav said Saturday to be approaching the High Court to challenge the verdict of a special CBI court that has sentenced his father and party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav to three-and-a-half years of prison in a fodder scam as well as a Rs 10 lakh of fine.

Addressing the media at a press conference Yadav’s son continued a bail plea will be moved too in the High Court.

Fodder scam came to notice 21 years ago and a fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 89.27 lakh from Deoghar Treasury was discovered.

Lalu was finally convicted on December 23 and currently is at Ranchi jail.

Tejashwi said, “The lower court has pronounced its judgement which we respect. We have full faith in judiciary… We will study the judgement and then decide on what legal options to exercise.”

Speaking at the RJD meeting he continued the BJP and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have conspired against his father, and the party would go to people soon all these has been hatched by them.
