Telangana BJP to announce candidates list on March 16

The Telangana segment of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be finalizing candidates list for Lok Sabha elections on March 15 and announcement of names is on card the next day.

According to Telangana BJP Chief official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao the Telangana voters are smart and would differentiate between Parliamentary and Assembly elections.

In 2018 Assembly elections BJP managed to grab just one seat (Secunderabad) out of seven. In the previous House the party’s strength was five.

Telanagana is a small state with just 7 seats and the Lok Sabha elections would be held in single phase on April 11.

Rao added, “I think voters of Telangana will vote for a strong, stable and vision-based government which is ours.”

He said Rahul Gandhi-led Congress party seems to be in confusion as in recent days its key leaders have been defecting to the Telangana Rashra Samiti (TRS).

Four MLAs of Congress switched their loyalties to the TRS lately.

Rao said Congress has no weapon in the state to fight the Lok Sabha elections and the fight in reality is between BJP and TRS.
