A source said the comedian is suffering from blood pressure issues and stress.

However, it is true the TRPs (Television Rating Points) have been on the southward run since Sunil Grover left the show following mid-air flight. Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar too departed from the crew.

The troubles increased with poor health and since July Kapil has canceled shoots seven times, even with Shah Rukh Khan after fainting on the sets.

Sony spokesperson said, “Once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery.”
