Protection from the sun

One of the easiest and important ways to protect your skin is to safeguard it from the sun. Prolonged exposure to the sun can be very harmful to the skin as it can cause spots, wrinkles, and other skin problems which includes the risk of skin cancer. To do so you can use the following things:

Sunscreen – If going out into the sun is a necessity for you, you can always use a sunscreen which has an SPF of at least 15. Make sure to gently apply the sunscreen on your skin every 2 hours so that the effect of the sun is minimized to the maximum.

Seek shade – The most practical way to avoid the sun is to seek shade whenever it is possible. It is also recommended to avoid the sun rays when the effect of the sun rays is most dangerous.

Protective clothing – If you are certain that your day will include being out in the sun for a large part of the day, it is very smart to wear clothing that covers most of your body parts and only exposes little of your skin to the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Stop smoking

Like it or not, the more you smoke the more your skin will look older. People can find this very difficult to admit but smoking contributes largely to wrinkles and can damage the skin overall. The tiny blood cells on the skin’s outermost layer are narrowed down due to the smoking which declines the blood flow and makes the skin look pale and old.

Apart from this, smoking also causes a reduction of oxygen and nutrients in the body which are very important for healthy skin. In addition, smoking can also increase the risk of skin cell cancer. It also damages elastin and collagen – which are the fibers that provide elasticity to the skin and make it strong.

Be gentle

if you shave our clean your skin regularly it can take a negative toll on your skin.

Moisturize – Whenever your skin is dry, you must use a moisturizer that contains SPF.

Pat dry – Whenever you wash your skin do not rub the towel to clean it off, you must pat your skin to make it dry.

A healthy diet and stress management

Nutrition that your body is having will ultimately be transferred to each and every part of your body including your skin and if a body is getting enough nutrition through a balanced diet, your skin will receive all the necessary nutrition and oxygen it will require to heal.
