UP CM Yogi Adityanath claims no riot during his government

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said Tuesday the image of Uttar Pradesh has been changed since he formed government and the law and order in the state has become a model for the entire nation as no single incident of riot has happened.

Adityanath formed BJP government in the state in March 2017 and said prior to his assuming the office the state was synonymous with murder, loot and riots.

The CM added, “Mafia was looting the state’s resources under political patronage. Mafia was rampant in SP, BSP rule… There was a long era of scams.”

Adityanath claimed his government has changed perception of Uttar Pradesh and its better atmosphere has become a model for India.

He said in 2012 a total of 227 major communal riots were recorded while a year later there were 247 such riots.

Presenting a report card on the occasion of two years completion of his government the leader said no riot, acid attack and kidnapping took place during hs government while there 242 riots in 2014 and another 219 in 2015. In 2016 more than 100 riots were reported.

Adityanath added further that police in Uttar Pradesh are now more confident and his government does not interfere in their functioning.

The chief minister said, “There is zero tolerance for crime and criminals and 73 criminals have been killed in police encounters. Unfortunately, half-a-dozen police jawans also attained martyrdom in the encounters.”
