Xiaomi Chief Says India is Turning Out to Be Their Largest Overseas Market

This information was shared by Xiaomi’s Chairman and CEO Lei Jun during the recent World Internet Conference. He said that India is a very big and important market for the company Xiaomi CEO Jun also said that the Chinese company is looking to become one of the biggest Smartphone selling company in the world.
Xiaomi made its debut in India only in July this year and it has soon become the talk of the town in this country. Jun was very happy to announce that India is their largest overseas market for the company. The Smartphones offered by Xiaomi are top class and have garnered a lot of appreciation from Smartphone users. They are offered with tempting and attractive specifications at affordable prices, which no one wants to miss. Currently, Xiaomi is available only through Flipkart online store in India. The Xiaomi flash sales on Flipkart every Tuesday is a huge hit among consumers as Smartphones get sold off like hot cakes.
After the successful launch of Xiaomi Mi3 and entry level Smartphone Redmi 1S, the company is now looking to bring out the Redmi Note in India on Monday, the 24th of November in Delhi. This phablet will see its unveiling tomorrow and go on sale next week. Jun has said that Xiaomi is looking to become the number one Smartphone seller, not just in India, but in the whole world. They have plans to enter new markets soon and Jun says that he believes that the sales of Xiaomi smartphones will triple in the next year from 70 million to 200 million.
Right now Xiaomi is the third largest player in the cell phone world and the company has been in existence only for the last four years. Jun is quite optimistic about the prospects of the company and feels that it will become the number one Smartphone selling company in the world in five to 10 years of its operation. The company right now only operates in Asia and has shipped 18 million Smartphones in the third quarter this year. Xiaomi will find it difficult to upset the popularity that Apple or Samsung enjoys in India.
