Kerala Bharatiya Janata Party chief PS Sreedharan Pillai said the current atmosphere, after airstrikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, is favorable for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said, “We do not want to exploit this situation. But an atmosphere has developed in favour of Narendra Modi after the airstrike and Sabarimala issue, in India and Kerala.”

The chief was responding to questions on February 26 IAF airstrikes and added BJP is against ‘CoMa’ (Congress and Marxist) coalition in Kerala.

The CPI(M) in West Bengal has reached to an understanding with Congress and the two parties will run upcoming Lok Sabha elections together in Kerala as well.

he accepted the state will see a friendly fight with CoMa coalition.

Pilai elaborated that the party has reached to the final stage of candidature and senior leaders of BJP is in touch with district leaders taking suggestions in relation to candidates.

He added that the final list will be sent to the national leadership in a few days and soon the state level party unit will make an announcement about it.

Across Keala the BJP will be coming up with Parivarthan Yatra just ahead of the LS polls. It will be segregated in four zones and state general secretaries will be leading the road shows.

K Surendra from Pathanamthitta parliamentary constituency will be leading the Thiruvananthapuram zone while AN Radhakrishnan will be taking the lead of Ernakulam zone. Sobha Surendran and MT Ramesh will be leading Plakkad and Kozhikode zones respectively.
