Cafe Coffee Day chief finance officer and a couple of financial advisors of the coffee chain company could be questioned in the wake of the suicide of founder-CMD V G Siddhartha. A preliminary quizzing of some officials has been conducted and according to Mangaluru police commissioner Sandeep Patil mails will be sent to the top bosses.

Currently, CCD CFO is in Tokyo along with other financial advisors and mails will be related to their appearing before Mangaluru police for the inquiry.

Body of Siddhartha was found by a fisherman in Nethravathi Riveron on Wednesday, 36 hours after he went missing.

Siddhartha has left a self-signed letter for the company’s board and employees accusing previous DG of Income Tax Department for harassment.

Meanwhile, the department has raised doubts over the letter alleging the signature is not matching. Mangaluru police is also taking a close look at the private equity partners and lenders of CCD.
