Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Apple CEO Tim Cook on Saturday in his Silicon Valley tour with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Cook say the iDevice giant has unique tie with the country and its co-founder Steve Jobs had been to India in past for inspiration.

Mody was warmly welcomed at the hotel lobby by Indian Americans who raised pro-Modi slogans.

After the arrival of Modi at San Jose Airport Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the visit of Modi in their office reinvigorate the opportunity of US-India relations and take their partnership to new heights.

Modi is scheduled visit the campuses of Google and Tesla Mostors to meed top CEOs – Satya Nadella and Sundar Pichai.

The PM will also be meeting the Gujarati and Sikh communities.
