JetBlue banned a passenger permanently after he failed to disclose about the awaited results for coronavirus tests, and he later received a positive for Coronavirus diagnosis mid-flight.

The passenger was flying to Palm Beach from New York City to Florida, and they received the awaited results, and all the passengers were informed of the potential Coronavirus exposure.

“Last night’s event put our crewmembers, customers and federal and local officials in an unsettling situation that could have easily been avoided,” said JetBlue. “As such, this customer will not be permitted to fly on JetBlue in the future.”

After the plane deboarded, all the passengers were advised by health officials called at the airport, and were told not to self-quarantine, reports CNBC.

“We were told that because he wasn’t sneezing or coughing at all, that we’re fine,” said the passenger, visiting his parents to Florida. “I personally went over to the woman, to the doctor, and asked and explained my exact story, and the doctor said it’s a personal choice if you would want to stay around them.”

The Post also reports the airport where the Coronavirus infected passenger landed was cleaned thoroughly, and the departure gate of the airport the passenger used to depart was also cleaned.

Trump has declared a national emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak.

As per The New York Times, the declaration “empowers the president to direct any federal agency to use its personnel, facilities, and equipment to support state and local emergency efforts, disseminate public health and safety information, provide public health and safety measures, and distribute supplies like medicine and food.”
