Following death of two staffers of a restaurant in Indian capital Delhi while cleaning sewage treatment unit the Bharatiya Janata Party chief Manoj Tiwari demanded lodging of criminal case against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Housekeeping employees Rakesh (45) and Ajay (19) died Saturday at ‘Pirates of Grill’ restaurant in Rajouri Garden area. Both are alleged to have been collapsed due to asphyxiation after entering a sewage treatment unit. Police has detained two men.

Tiwari said complain of “criminal negligence” should be lodged against Kejriwal and the officers concerned. He also demanded resignation of Kejriwal for the criminal act.

The singer-turned-politician further said, “The investigating agency should also take in to consideration his responsibility and take action accordingly because the sanitation workers are entering the plants for cleaning without protective gear. A case should be filed against Kejriwal for conspiracy to commit murder.”
