Modi addresses Bollywood celebs to urge voters turn up in large numbers

The Lok Sabha 2019 polls to begin from April 11 and ahead of it Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged all the adult citizens of India to turn up in large numbers at polling stations and cast votes.

Modi requested several film celebrities too for the same message to be conveyed to their respective fans and followers.

In one of his tweets the PM addressed Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkimeni and Malayalam cinema superstar Mohanlal to create greater voter awareness.

His tweet read, “Dear @Mohanlal and @iamnagarjuna, Your performances have entertained millions over the years and you have also won many awards. I request you to create greater voter awareness and urge people to vote in large numbers. The award here is, a vibrant democracy.”

Modi also addressed to Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.

In his tweets Modi tagged several Bollywood celebs too including Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Bhumi Pedneker, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal.
