Modi congratulates Chandrayaan-2 launching in Man Ki Baat

In the latest edition of Mann Ki Baat the prime minister Narendra Modi talked about Chandrayaan-2 saying every Indian is now proud of it and the current year has been a good one for the country’s space and science.

Congratulating in Sunday’s monthly radio program to the ISRO for the launch of Chandrayaan-2 the PM said, “The successful launch by our scientists despite the early setback is unprecedented. Chandrayaan 2 is Indian to the core. It is purely Indian in heart and spirit.”

Modi added that the Chandrayaan-2 is purely a swadeshi and homegrown mission and the month September is being awaited when the Lander Vikram Rover Pragyan will touch the surface of Moon.

The PM talked about water conservation issue too and said efforts are being made to tackle the problem.

He further said, “By working on a water policy, the wonderful state of Meghalaya has taken a futuristic step. Haryana is also taking great steps when it comes to saving water and working with farmers.”

Modi appreciated Jharkhand government for the efforts made in water conservation and said this is a good sign towards the work.
