Most Of The Americans Read News On Social Platforms: Survey

In a new study it is found most of the Americans get news update from social media.

Pew Research claims two-thirds of Facebook users read their news from the platform and 59 percent of users on Twitter read news on the tweet-based platform. Similarly 70 percent of the Reddit users get news on the Reddit platform.

Facebook is leading among all the other social media platofrms in offering news feed to people. It reaches 67 percent of the adult American population where as Twitter is able to reach just 16 percent of the people. This puts Mark Zuckerberg’s product on top with 44 percent of the Americans getting news from it.

The second in place is Twitter and YouTube with the reach of 10 percent in terms of people getting news on the platforms.

The Pew Research Center’s American Trends Panel surveyed 4,654 people and it claims only about a quarter of them get news from two or more websites. The poll result further claim just 10 pecent of the people received news from three or more platforms.

It is said about fifty percent of the Twitter and LinkedIn news users look for news from other websites or apps too.
