National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could cross the magic number in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with 283 seats, reveals a survey conducted by Times Now-VMR based on 17,000 respondents.

It is being predicted NDA would get most of the seats from Hindi heartland and northeast region with combined vote share of 40.1 percent, up from 38.5 percent of 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The survey adds UPA would be limited to 135 seats while others to get 125 seats. The vote share of UPA would be 30.6 percent, up from 23 percent of previous Lok Sabha elections.

Even though Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost last assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, the party to grab 22 out of 29 seats in MP, 20 out of 25 seats in Rajasthan and six out of eleven seats in Chhattisgarh.

Congress is in power in these three states and the party is being predicted to grab just 7, 5 and 5 seats respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh NDA could be reduced to just 42 seats as significant win is being seen for the BSP-SP combine.

NDA would make significant gains in Odisha, Maharashtra and West Bengal with 14, 39 and 11 seats respectively.
