You should avoid these foods to keep your gums and teeth in good shape! Here is a list of foods you should avoid if you suffer from tooth sensitivity.

  • Candy- candy is the worst food you can eat for your oral health. Sugary drinks and foods are the main reason behind tooth decay. Bacteria break down sugar into acid, which causes cavities and many problems.


  • Bread- The starch present in bread will prove to be problematic for oral health. Refined carbohydrates are one of the worst foods to eat if you plan on maintaining oral health. The enzymes present in the saliva of our mouth breaks down refined carbs into sugar and can damage your teeth.


  • Coffee- coffee is a big culprit for staining tooth and so are soy sauce, beets, and red wine. Coffee dries down the mouth and cause bad breath and is responsible for the growth of bacteria. Drinking water after coffee will help to minimize downsides to some extent.


  • Garlic and Onions- Garlic and Onions are not only responsible for bad breath but have other side effects. The smelling compound of both these foods lingers in the body for longer than we know. These contain a sulfur compound that gets absorbed in the blood and comes as the odor in your mouth. The bad breath will linger even after brushing the teeth.
